Aftercare
Healing well is half the work.
Save this page or send it to a friend. Follow the steps and your tattoo or piercing will heal beautifully.
Day 0–2 · Settle in
Leave the wrap on for 2–4 hours. Wash gently with lukewarm water and unscented soap. Pat dry with a clean towel. No re-wrap unless we said so.
Day 3–7 · Wash & moisturise
Wash 2x per day. Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free moisturiser (Bepanthen, Hustle Butter or similar) — thin layer, not gloopy. Mild itching is normal.
Day 7–14 · Peel phase
The tattoo will flake like a sunburn. DO NOT pick or scratch — let it fall off naturally. Keep moisturising lightly.
Day 14–30 · Settle
Colour deepens and 'milky' look fades as the lower layers heal. Now is when fresh ink looks its best.
Do
- Wash with clean hands, twice a day
- Use unscented, fragrance-free moisturiser
- Wear loose, breathable clothing
- Sleep on clean sheets
Don't
- No swimming, baths, gym or sauna for 2 weeks
- No direct sunlight or tanning for 4 weeks
- Don't pick, scratch or peel — let it shed naturally
- Don't shave the area until fully healed
When to contact us
Mild redness, swelling and crust are all normal. Reach out if you notice spreading redness, intense pain, hot skin around the area, or thick yellow/green discharge — these can be early signs of infection.
